What to expect for an echocardiogram
An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of your heart that provides information on your heart’s structure and function. This procedure involves laying on a table while an echo tech conducts the ultrasound using gel (no radiation). It can help diagnose common conditions, such as heart failure, congenital heart disease and valve problems. A nurse practitioner from the U-M Health Frankel Cardiovascular Center walks you through it. #echocardiogram #cardiology #HeartMonth #hearthealth
