Beginner's Guide to Natural Hair PART 1 | Hair Type, Moisturizing, Growth | Curls and Code

Today I'm sharing part 1 of a beginner's guide to natural hair. In this video, I give an overview of the science behind hair structure, hair type, porosity, moisturizing, and length retention. If you're beginning your natural hair journey or you need a refresher, this is the video for you! There is a LOT of information about natural hair that's out there, and I know it can be overwhelming for many people. This video is meant to be a starting point for those who are new to natural hair!

DISCLAIMER: I am not a hairstylist or a trichologist, and I have not taken any formal classes about hair or hair care. This is information that I have gathered over the past few years, and these tips are tips that I use in my own hair. If I get something wrong in the video please let me know down below! I'm always open to learning 🙂I don't want to criticize or shame anyone's natural hair practices! I'm explaining what works best on my hair, and if you disagree with something that's okay.
