Tonka Hydraulic Blue Dump Truck Restoration 1963s - Vintage

This video is again about a tin toy from the brand Tonka. To be precise, the Tonka Hydraulic Blue Dump Truck is being restored. This model is from 1963. I bought it again on Ebay for 15 €. Unfortunately, the tonka was not treated well. It was very rusty and had many bumps.

First, the tonka was dismantled. Unfortunately the windshield was broken, so I made a new one myself. For this, a mold was cast from epoxy resin. This was made using a vacuum process with plastic. All remaining metal parts were blasted with the sandblaster. Dented parts were dented with a hammer. I used powder coating for painting. The entire toy car was powder coated in blue.
Unfortunately the bikes could no longer be saved, so I bought new bikes on Ebay.
Since the axles were very rusty, I made new ones out of stainless steel. Then all components were assembled.
