Spider-Man (2002) didn’t just redefine superhero movies… it changed the character in some ways that would affect Spidey, forever.

Giving Peter Parker organic webbing instead of traditional web-shooters ended up influencing Spider-Man across movies, games, and even the comics themselves. This wasn't the first time that organic webs for Spider-Man had been discussed, but it did end up changing how so many audiences thought about the character.

But what was almost done instead? And why did this change matter so much?
