This 19month baby presented to the ER with bilious vomiting for 2 days not responding to conservative management - radiology showed a foreign body in the stomach - endoscopic extraction failed as a magnetic button battery was deeply embedded in the stomach wall. Laparoscopically anterior gastrostomy and extraction of the magnetic button battery was done followed by meticulous endoscopic repair of the gastric posterior wall rent and the anterior gastrostomy. Recovery was uneventful.
