Building an AI Career App | Debugging a Backend–Frontend Integration Issue

I found my first real bug—and while there have been plenty along the way, this one actually mattered.

It wasn’t just a small UI glitch or a quick fix; it exposed a deeper issue in how my backend communicates with the frontend. This bug directly affected the app’s ability to pass data between the backend and frontend, which meant features that looked complete on the surface simply didn’t work underneath. Fixing it is pushing me to rethink parts of my architecture, improve my API handling, and tighten the overall integration between systems.
