Meka Childs; Born and raised in South Carolina, lifelong conservative, A devoted military wife coach and mentor, Public school educated in Lexington County, SC. Airport High School Graduate. Has a BA and MPP from Duke University. Public school teacher in Richland County (2001-2005). Worked as Education Policy Adviser to Governor Mark Sandford (2005-2007). Member of the SC. Education Oversight Commitee (2008-2010) Deputy Superintendent of Education under General Mick Zais, (2011-2014). A member of Brookland Baptist Church and resides in Richland County with her husband, Major Felix Childs (USAR), and their daughter.
