Design 2 Internal Fantasy World

I produced a series of designs/studies in a recent assignment where I chose to explore the design language of director Darren Aronofsky.

context:
Throughout my designs, I focused on one protagonist. An artist working to create a perfect masterpiece that will bring them to fame. In the process of trying to reach this goal, they turn to drugs. I was inspired by LSD but this was intentionally left as vague. Initially, this lifestyle of addiction is beautiful, and the artist lives her fantasy out in her mind. In time however this gives way to the harsh reality of addiction, and the artist loses herself within this, beauty fading to devastation.
