In 1966, a black and white cat gave birth to a wrinkled hairless kitten in Ontario, Canada, named Prune. It was known to be a natural genetic mutation and the Sphynx cat, as we know it today, came into existence.
The kitten was eventually bred to other cats to create more hairless kittens.
