Mumbai's new ATC tower

NDTV takes you to the new and the much awaited ATC tower at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, the second busiest airport in India. While the tower will be fully operational by December 2013, we do get a glimplse of how arrivals and departures will be handled with utmost efficiency and safety. We also manage to get to the CNS (Communication/Navigation on surface) section that tracks every movement in the airport premises. At the time of its completion, the 83 metre tall ATC tower stands tallest in India, but will be outdone by another one in Delhi at 96 metres, sometime in early 2014. The CNS system has been installed worked upon indegenously.
