Once upon a time, there was a man named James Brown. James was born in Barnwell, South Carolina, in 1933, during the height of the Great Depression. He would spend hours listening to the radio and trying to mimic the sounds of his favorite singers. When he was just six years old, James' mother passed away, and he was sent to live with his aunt in Augusta, Georgia.Despite the hardships he faced, James' love of music only grew stronger.
