Christmas Cake Tutorial | 3D Pop up Book Cake | 'Twas the Night before Christmas | Book Cake

Our Christmas cake for 2020 'Twas the Night before Christmas 🎄🕚🌛So happy I'm finally able to share this cake with you all.

This cake was fairly easy when it came to the carving and covering. It was all the other toppers and details that a lot of time and work had to be put into.

The cake is a 12" x 12" square which was then cut into two 6"x8"s

Colours used for the fondant are Wilton Ivory, Sugarflair Red extra with a hint of Wilton brown, Suagrflair Holly green and Renshaw Brown Sugarpaste

I used Edible icing sheets for the wall prints

Copper Lights for the tree were purchased from a local cake decorating shop

Red Glitter for the baubles is from Rainbow dust and so are the Gold and Silver dusts.

Decorations for the garlands are gold pearls, red and white 100s and 1000s (sprinkles)

Leaf tip Wilton 352 and PME 50 were used

For shading in I used Sugarflair dusts Black, Brown and Skintone.

I was totally bummed at the writing in the end for the cover of the book. Turns out I'm not very good at it when it comes to vertical writing
