SISSEL KYRKJEBØ - Can't help falling in love (Elvis Presley) - 1991 TV Concert - HQ with Subtitles

SISSEL performed this famous song from Elvis PRESLEY "Can't help falling in love with you" at the occasion of a TV CONCERT which was filmed in the FAROE Islands during spring and summer 1990 and was then released on TV in 1991. Sissel was in her early twenties at that time but was already a well-known singer, especially in Norway and in BERGEN, her hometown. The orchestra was directed by Per Egil HOVLAND.

The TV program (produced by Stageway) lasted about 70 minutes and was made of two parts. The first one, called "Med Sissel til Kirkjubø*", was filmed partially outdoors in various places of interest of the Faroe Islands, and also indoors, in the concert hall of the Nordic House in Tórshavn. * Kirkjubø is the old cultural and spiritual centre of the Faroes, with the St. Olav's church (12th century) , the oldest church in the Faroes still in use, and the ruins of St. Magnus Cathedral (about 1300). The second part of the program was called "Sissel i Christianskirkjuni". It is a church concert filmed in "Christianschurch", in Klaksvik.

Sissel performance was never released in any album or DVD later on, and to my knowledge, only very few recordings of the concert still exist today

I already posted in 2007 several videos of this TV concert, including one of this song (Sissel Kyrkjebo, 1991, Can't help falling in love - * see my comments below). The new version includes now the Lyrics and is of a much better quality.

HISTORY / TECHNICAL information:
The 1991 TV program was offering in addition to Sissel's songs some very nice views of the FAROE Islands wild landscape, with large hills and beautiful fjords, coves and grottoes, and high cliffs bordering the sea (see for example, at the end of the video, Sissel going riding with some friends).
The TV Concert was recorded in 1991 in Bergen by one of my friends. The "old" VHS tape (more than 20 years old now ) was digitized this time using the "Terratec G3" device. The resulting .avi file was then filtered with "Virtualdub" to clean the images (the "NeatVideo" denoise filter performed very well) and colors were adjusted. Finally, the video was edited and lyrics added using the PowerDirector10 movie software.

*: the mystery of the lost and 'found again' video: the video I posted in 2007 was removed by Youtube some months later, following a "notification of violating copyright by a third party". The removed video reappeared however suddently on the Net some years later, in 2010, as a "copied" version and with a very minor modification: a new tag had been added on each of the images. I was however very happy to see it again as it encouraged me to post this revised version.
