CHRISTMAS WALK in Copenhagen - Christmas Decorations & Markets in Copenhagen - Denmark Travel video

Copenhagen Travel Vlog. It´s December in Copenhagen, Denmark and Christmas is just around the corner. Copenhagen is the city where Maro and Maxi (the hosts of this YouTube Channel) live. We wanted to show you the Copenhagen Christmas Markets, Copenhagen Christmas Decorations and the Copenhagen Christmas atmosphere at this time of the year. Therefore one late afternoon, armed with only the camera on our mobile phones, we took a stroll around Copenhagen City filming Christmas Decorations (called julepynt in Danish), Christmas Markets (called julemarkeder in Danish) while trying to capture the cosy Copenhagen City Christmas atmosphere which we Danes call Hygge! The definition of the Danish word Hygge from Oxford is, "a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture)." No matter how we define the word, Christmas and the cold winter weather, is always a good excuse for Hygge in Denmark! Although a video cannot come close to the real atmosphere of Copenhagen during Christmas, we think that we did manage to capture some of the Christmas spirit on the Walking Streets of Copenhagen and at the various Christmas Markets we visited along the way. Areas in Copenhagen we visited include Nyhavn (The Nyhavn Christmas Market), Kongens Nytorv (The Kongens Nytorv Christmas Market) with the world famous Hotel d'Angleterre towering over the market with it´s beautifully decorated walls, Strøget (The Copenhagen walking Street), Pistolstræde, Amagertorv (with the Amagertorv Christmas Market), Gråbrødretorv and Kultorvet. We hope that you will enjoy this Copenhagen Christmas video and the Christmas music we have chosen to play in the background. No video can truly show you the real atmosphere of Copenhagen, the best way to really feel it is to visit! We can highly recommend a visit to Copenhagen a place with so much to see and do, yet still easy to get around!
