#113 sawing on a old Frick sawmill

The big boards were 16'6" long 14" tall 1 3/4 wide Ash ,cut down to 6" tall . I wasn't quite sure how i saw going to saw them and changed my plan as i was sawing . There was a lot of tension it the timber so as i would take a slice and turn it i had to take face cuts almost every time to get a straight edge . If there wasn't so much hanging off the front and back it might have stayed straighter . (longer carriage ) i ended up with 12 boards .In the begining i was cleaning up some of the sawdust in the pit .It looks like i am real close to the blade but not really . Those 14" tall boards were a bit much .Im not real fast by my self but gotter done .
