White Rose Services Ended Eurostar's Journey Continues #Eurostar #Class373 #fyp

The Eurostar That Never Went to Europe

Full Video: https://youtu.be/FEFZHIVSSS8

In the early 2000s, something truly bizarre was happening on Britain’s railways. A full-length Eurostar Class 373 — built to race through the Channel Tunnel — was running everyday domestic services on the East Coast Main Line.
This post explores the remarkable story of unit 373305 (set 3305/3306), one of the failed “Regional Eurostar” trains that never reached Paris or Brussels. Instead, it found a second life working Great North Eastern Railway “White Rose” services from London King’s Cross to York and Leeds, storming through places like Doncaster and Newark.

Loved by passengers for its comfort, but challenging to operate due to its length, power demands and selective door operation, this Eurostar was a train that never quite fitted the network it ran on — yet became unforgettable because of it.

A true railway “what if”… and one of the strangest chapters in modern UK rail history.

👇 Did you ever see — or ride — a White Rose Eurostar?
