Pacini: Saffo (1840) - Historical Recordings (1907-1924) (with score)

Here something's a bit different. Pacini is one of my favourite Italian composers, and this is undoubtedly one of his best works. It also happens to be the only opera of his that was recorded in excerpts in the 'phonograph era'. Here, I’ve compiled all the available recordings I could find, paired with a vocal score displayed on screen. Unfortunately, there is also a missing recording - a duet between soprano Amelia Macron and mezzo-soprano Lina Tomezzoli, which seems to be unavailable online. To my knowledge, the first modern revival of this opera took place in 1944 in Buenos Aires, featuring Sara Scuderi, Ettore Panizza, and Carlos Guichandut (then as a baritone).
