Pt 9 Aquaponics - Getting Set Up On A Budget - Update

16 Feb 2013. An update to show the growth. There is a big difference between the plants I have growing in the 3/4 inch gravel compared to the smallish pebbles. The gravel plants are far far taller and bigger. The gravel has more space between the rocks and allows for more oxygen and the water to get to the roots more easily. It was very cheap as well at $2 for 15 kilos.
