Single Post Lift Assembly BY YOURSELF (no forklift!) - BEST Car Lift Small Shop - Solve Fix Build

On this episode of Solve Fix Build I take delivery and assemble an 1800 lb single post left. Assembling a car lift by yourself can be a daunting task, especially if you don't have a forklift or a means to get it off a truck. In my case, I couldn't do lift gate delivery, so I went to the shipping terminal and they used a forklift to drop the pallet in a U-Haul trailer I rented. I towed it home, then offloaded it from the trailer with an engine crane. I used a chain hoist to raise the column and bolted the rest together.

I still need to build adapters for my X-frame Impala, but this lift is portable and so far I am quite pleased with its construction. I've done a few test lifts and it can easily pick up the Impala, but I'll need adapters to make it stable.
