New £50m Office Block | Phase 3 Talbot Gateway Blackpool

As the planning application is being considered at Blackpool Council, we're taking a look at the red light district, due to be demolished for the new £50m Office Block | Phase 3 Talbot Gateway Blackpool. Filmed Monday 15 March 2021.

Join us for a walk around the site, from the Hop Inn along Cookson Street to see the site where Scrooges Bar and Reform Gym have just been demolished. Passing round the Hop Inn to take a walk along King Street where properties are to be demolished as plans get underway. Around the back of King Street you loop into East Topping Street car park.

The new £50m office block is believed to be for the civil service. Over 7 floors it will transform this currently grotty area of Blackpool. It's also going to spell the end of the red light district as regeneration and redevelopment cleans the place up.

Phase 3 Talbot Gateway Blackpool includes the offices, a new medical centre and a new dental surgery - to be built behind the facade of the Hop Inn.
