Prince Harry Reacts To Milestone Phone Hacking Case Win

Prince Harry just got a major legal victory! On Friday, it was announced that he won his phone hacking lawsuit against Mirror New Group that he filed in 2019. The Duke of Sussex wasn't present at the hearing because of the "short notice" according to his lawyer David Sherborne. However, the 39-year-old issued a long and powerful statement that was read aloud by his lawyer outside the ruling. "Today's ruling is vindicating and affirming," his statement read in part. "I've been told that slaying dragons will get you burned. But in light of today's victory and the importance of what is doing, what is needed for a free and honest press, it is a worthwhile price to pay. The mission continues. Thank you very much." After the verdict, Mirror Group Newspapers released a statement where they apologized to the prince. "We welcome today's judgment that gives the business the necessary clarity to move forward from events that took place many years ago," the statement reads. "Where historical wrongdoing took place, we apologize unreservedly, have taken full responsibility and paid appropriate compensation."
