Robot Arm IK in Unreal Engine 5 – Robot Arm System | Part 2

In Part 2 of this series, we bring the robot arm into Unreal Engine 5 and create a Control Rig–based IK system that can be controlled at runtime.

This part focuses on setting up IK and control logic inside UE5, including:

✔ Importing the rigged robot arm into Unreal Engine
✔ Creating a Control Rig for a mechanical arm
✔ Setting up IK (FBIK) for robotic joints
✔ Creating and configuring IK controls
✔ Moving the IK target correctly using forward and right vectors
✔ Controlling the robot arm at runtime using input

By the end of this part, you’ll have a fully controllable robot arm inside UE5, ready for gameplay, tools, or cinematic use.
