Was Aunt Hilda a Lesbian?

Probably not, but you just never know!
I don't think it would have been "safe" for her to "come out".
So, she stayed married to the same man (a wonderful guy, seriously terrific man), until he left HER after 47 years of marriage.

Aunt Hilda had a heart of gold, but she rarely should her tender side.
And she dressed like a poor lady, but we found out later, that she was far from poor!
A complicated, smart, philanthropic, generous soul.
Was she a lesbian? Who cares. She was my aunt, and she was awesome, in her own peculiar style!
