FRT-5 (First "Modern" Floyd Design ): Floyd Rose History -1983

The FRT-5 design was created in 1983 and is the design we all know today as the general "Floyd Rose." It has features we still see today on the 2020 modern Floyds, but the history and design on the FRT-5 is rather complex and interesting to due Floyd Rose moving production from Japan to Germany in a very short period of time. Many variations of the FRT-5 were presented in 1983 before final production presumed.

DISCLAIMER: Many of these facts presented may not be 100% accurate due to some this history being rumors and Floyd Rose himself rarely speaks of the Pre-Schaller/Japan years.
