The Nike Air Jordans first came out in the mid 1980's, and as a basketball sneaker, they have been one of the biggest sellers for Nike.

The heel on these Jordans look like they'd give you at least an inch, but in reality they are more towards 0.8 inches, which isn't that thick for a basketball sneaker. However, most people are wearing these for their style, rather than boosting their height.
