RC SBD Dauntless needs a bigger prop: Flight Two

VQ Models SBD Dauntless has a 6400mah 4S lipo powered by a Turnigy 40 motor 60 amp ESC and a tri bladed prop. The wingspan is 1.4m.

Flight Review:
This flight was all about evaluating performance. I had a feeling the prop was a little small before takeoff and once airborne the climb confirmed it. Takeoff was very scale and smooth, with no bad habits getting into the air.

Once at altitude I settled into circuits and dialed in the controls before attempting a loop. The aircraft ran out of momentum halfway through, so I cut throttle, put it into a dive, and recovered cleanly. An aileron roll was completed successfully and felt stable and controlled but lacked power. I perfomred a textbook touch and go with both camera angles it looked awesome.

For landing I brought it in on a lower approach, washed off the speed, and touched down smoothly on the tarmac. Overall a successful flight and I am happy with the scale performance, but the thrust needs improving. I will be switching to a 13 x 8 prop to replace the current 12 inch tri blade which has too little pitch and is holding the aircraft back.
