2006 Honda Jazz Sports GD3 VTEC Preview | #Preview02

This is my 2006 Honda Jazz GD3 VTEC. It is the first generation of Honda Fit/ Jazz. The paint is Satin Silver Mettalic. The Rims are 15 inches and still original with Dunlop SP Touring tyres.

There is 2 different types of engine in this car. The first one is i-DSI. This engine has 2 spark plugs per cylinder, so i think that engine has better fuel economy. The one that I have is VTEC one. VTEC stands for Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control. So this engine has some different specs from the other engine, such as the variable camshaft that opens widely when the RPM is over 3000. This engine runs faster than the i-DSI, but i think VTEC is more thirsty than i-DSI.

The engine code is L15A1. It is a straight four engine, single overhead cam with fuel injection. The displacement is about 1497cc(91 cubic inch). It is a naturally aspirated engine that connected with a 5 speed manual transmission. It is a front wheel drive, not the 4WD version (I searched google there is GD3 4WD version for Japan). I used unleaded fuel (RON 92) for my car. The average fuel economy for this car is 40 mpg (1 litre/17 km). 0-100 kph times is about 13.7 - 14.2 seconds.

This car is well known in Indonesia. Not only some collegians used it for mobilization around the university, but also elders enjoy it very much. The reason why this car is well known because this car is dynamic and reliable. You can go speeding with this car (because VTEC :v) or just cruising along on the road slowly.
This car also featured electric fuel injection, central lock, power windows, power mirrors, fog lamp, seat belt tensioner, and etc. I think it's enough features for this car to make it well known in Asia, especially Indonesia.
Also this car is easy to drive. It has lot of simple features that wouldn't makes you dizzy when using it. For example, the icon on the gimmick shows exactly how it goes. And also it is very simple and practical to use it daily, even the manual ones are pretty simple to maintain.
I buy this car in 2006. That year, the new price of this car is about 10,700 USD or 150.000.000 IDR by default, cheap for the market of hatchback in Indonesia. Thats one of the reason why it is so well known.

Riding quality is not bad, for the hatchback city car, it is very firm. Even this car is already more than 10 years, it is still reliable enough to cruise along the streets. The disturbing fact about this car in Indonesia is this car usually used by some playboy guys in college (but not every college guy in Indonesia that using it are playboy :v) because this car can help you to attract some girls (or maybe gold digger ones :v), yea like that :v
