Crossair 498 Accident Switzerland! AIR Distress

On the 10th of January 2000 Crossair flight CRX498 with a SAAB340B was planned from Zürich Switzerland to Dresden Germany. With 7 passengers and 3 crew members, the aircraft commenced its last ever take off roll at 16:54:00 UTC into the night. Along the way, fault by fault slowly aligned the holes in the Swiss Cheese model. The crew was unable to establish countermeasures in order to avoid the tragic outcome of this flight that lasted only 1 minute and 58 seconds from lift off until impact. The story is based on facts from the official and final accident report provided by the SUST. Great attention was given to the details and to the most dominating and contributing factors that could have led to the accident.
