How to Use Mothers Power Cone to Polish Metal Video - Pep Boys

Lead chemist, Craig Burnett from Mothers Polishes and Waxes, demonstrates in this video, how to effortlessly clean your metal wheels with Mothers Power Cone. The task of keeping the bare metal of your vehicle looking great is a task that is completed much easier with Mothers Power Ball or Mothers Power Cone. Always be sure to use proper safety eyewear when working with power tools. To determine if the metal substrate that you wish to work on is indeed a polishable metal, you must first test it to see if it is coated.

Simply test a small amount of polish on a clean, scratch-free micro fiber towel and rub it on the wheel. If a black residue forms on the towel, you are safe to proceed. If not, this is not a polishable metal surface. Do not polish; it could be a coated wheel. If you get the black residue, then proceed by setting your power drill to the clockwise direction and liberally apply metal polish to the Mothers Power Cone applicator. Set drill speed to low, between 300 -- 400 rpm. Place the cone on the surface to be polished and start the drill slowly to avoid slinging. When a black, buttery residue appears, begin working in all directions from your starting point, until there is uniform coverage. Once an area has been sufficiently polished and before the polish dries, gently buff off polish with a clean micro-fiber towel. Make sure you turn and fold the towel frequently, working in small areas at a time, until the entire wheel is polished. Visit your local Pep Boys and pick up Mothers products today!
