Knifepoint - Indie Dev Log #3 (Godot Engine - Top Down Shooter)

Development log #3 of my Godot Engine top down shooter. While still very much a work in progress, I have been making some sweet progress on some of the systems of the game. I effectively have an entire level finished, mechanically. But now comes the arduous task of making it look good and feel good.

During this video I reworked the boundaries of the game, the out of bounds areas, made some new dialogue, started on player UI to include a quest tracking mechanic, I did a tiny bit of code cleanup while I wasn't recording, but I will have to do a lot more.

I have no experience with tilemaps so this is a learning process, but it looks like tilemaps will be what helps me bring together the level design aspects. One step at a time though, there is still a ton to be done!
