Expect China to prosecute detained Canadians after Meng ruling, say former ambassadors
Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou lost a major court battle today as a B.C. Supreme Court judge ruled that her extradition hearing should proceed. Two former Canadian ambassadors say China may respond to the ruling by proceeding with the prosecution of detained Canadians Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig.
