Starship - Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now [45 RPM]

Going through their third name change (after Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship), this current lineup had the highest showing of chart hits, including this one, reaching #1 for two weeks on the Hot 100 in April of 1987. It became their third and final #1 hit. Together it is sung by members Mickey Thomas and Grace Slick. Slick was 47 when the single hit #1, making her (at the time) the oldest female to hit #1.
It originally appeared in the 1987 film “Mannequin”, going on to get a nomination at the 60th Academy Awards for Best Original Song.
