The 78 Show - Ruby Murray, Joe Loss & Leslie Phillips - 1977
The 78 Show was a weekly series on BBC Radio 2, and I think this recording is the only one I have of the programme. Chaired by Shaw Taylor, the guests on this occasion were singer Ruby Murray, bandleader Joe Loss, and actor Leslie Phillips.
In my cassette notes I recorded this as being transmitted on 16th November 1977, but BBC Genome, which takes details from the Radio Times, shows this as having been broadcast on 2nd November 1977 at just after 7pm - a Wednesday evening.
The sound quality is not the best, due to the age of the tape, but I hope it may be enjoyed nevertheless.
