Despite the widely purported medical and cost-saving benefits of preventative healthcare measures, such as diet and exercise regimes, vaccinations, and medical screenings, patients often choose not to adopt them.1 Instead of basing their decision-making on facts and figures, psychological factors—emotional responses and cognitive biases—frequently have an outsized influence.1 This virtual event, anchored in the findings of an Economist Intelligence Unit report will dig into the reasons for this discrepancy.
