A Walk Through Rjukan Norway - Telemark

Rjukan is a popular town in Telemark for tourists to visit. It is most famous for being the nearest town to the Hydro Plant that produced heavy water during World War 2.

While watching this peaceful walk through the town you will notice the Gunnar Sonsteby Statue. This brave man played an important part in sabotaging the heavy water production as part of the Norwegian resistance. The statue pays tribute to Gunnar.
