Geingob celebrates 79th birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ... President Hage Geingob celebrates his 79th birthday today (3 August). Geingob is serving his second term as Namibia's 3rd democratically elected president. He won last year's hotly contested presidential election with 56% of the total votes cast.
The president last week instructed corporates and individuals who intend to wish him well on his birthday to not place paid adverts in newspapers and other publications but to rather donate money towards the fight against Covid-19 through the National Disaster Fund's bank account, which is coordinated by the Office of the Prime Minister.
