How A Zone Valve Works - Wiring for 2 Wire System

Recently, I had a zone valve go out in my hydronic, boiler based heating system. I had to figure out how the system works so I could get it replaced. I don't have a ton of spare money and try to do as much on my own as I can to make the money I do have stretch a little farther. I traced my wiring down, and looked up the specs on the zone valves and finally figured out how the whole thing worked. In appearance, it was really intimidating, but in operation, it was really simple. I was surprised just how simple it was actually.
