The UK Team of ‘Resist Glencore’ are here at their UK HQ in solidarity with frontline communities in Colombia fighting against the neocolonial violence at the hands of this Anglo-Swiss mega-mining corporation.

On November 2nd, an essential Public Hearing took place in the Colombian Congress. Fourteen representatives from local communities, trade unions, women, and peasant collectives had a unique opportunity to shed light on the violence and devastation caused by Glencore's mining activities in their region. This event aligns with the Global Power Up weekend organized by 350.org.

Glencore mining activities in Colombia are destroying the environment and the livelihoods of the Yukpa Indigenous community, as well as countless other communities.

These communities in Colombia have been fighting back against huge odds and we must stand with them.

They have been rising up against violent, extractive companies for generations and we must join them in this fight.
