Prime Time With Ravish Kumar - September 6. 2021: Farmers protesting against the Centre's farm laws held a mega meeting at Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where they reiterated their resolve to continue with the protest and campaign against the BJP in the coming state elections. The choice of the venue for the meeting is also significant. Muzaffarnagar as the site of massive violence eight years ago, in which around 60 people – most of them Muslims – died. Asked if the Hindu-Muslim divide is over in Muzaffarnagar, Mr Tikait said, "All that is over now… The farmers' protest has bridged that gap… This is Mohabbatnagar (city of love). A start has been made". The farmers have decided to continue with such protests to every village in the state. (Audio in Hindi)
