Hit the like button if you're a fan of Cole Palmer's talent and think Guardiola was a fool to let him leave Man City!

Family

Cole Palmer was born in Wythenshawe, Manchester, in the family of Jermaine and Marie Palmer. The couple raised two daughters, but the arrival of a son inspired his father, a former footballer, to teach Cole to play the number one game from the age of four! During his childhood, Palmer Jr. was constantly taken to play in the park across the street from his home by Jermaine, who taught his champ how to properly shoot and control the ball in order to turn him into a future star!

"I would go to the park with my Dad most days actually. I'd make him stand in the net. Before I did any shooting, he would just make me learn how to protect the ball," Palmer recalls.

"He'd only let me shoot as a sort of 'present' at the end of practicing with him. I was only little at the time. So he knew that getting me to keep hold of the ball with the figure I had was the most important thing. That's the most important thing I learned from a really young age, I'd say.

Dad taught me everything about football growing up. He was Pep before I met Pep," says Cole, referring to his former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Interestingly enough, the roots of Palmer's dad are connected with the Caribbean islands and an island country called Saint Kitts and Nevis. As a tribute to his old man, Cole wears boots with the flag of this country on them!

At the age of 8, Palmer entered the Citizens Academy with his parents helping him to maintain passion for football in every way possible:

"My Mum and Dad would travel across the country to make sure I was going to training. They'd be finishing work at 5pm, picking me up, giving me food in the car, then sending me out to train. It was round the clock," Palmer shares.

The funny thing is that while representing Man City, Cole actually supported the Sky Blues' main rivals, Manchester United! The boy's football idol is Wayne Rooney.

"When I was growing up I used to watch all the football and the one that sticks in my mind is Rooney. Ever since I was a little kid he has been my footballing hero."

By the way, Palmer did not even hesitate to wear United merchandise under his Man City kit, which greatly irritated his coaches! However, when playing against the Red Devils' youth teams, Cole, according to his grandfather Sterry, always left all sentiments aside:

"When he first joined City, he used to wear a United shirt or some sort of United garment under his sky-blue shirt. He was a United fan but City offered the better set-up, they had the better training facilities and were able to better nurture his talent.

The fact that he did support United never held him back, though. When City played against them at junior level, he used to absolutely smash them!"

Palmer's house

It is not known exactly where Palmer has been living in London since joining Chelsea. Nonetheless, until 2022, he and his family used to live in a modest two-family house in Cheadle, a town in the Stockport district of Greater Manchester. The Palmer family sold the property for £350,000 later on.

Cole's relatives have not left Manchester, so 21-year-old Palmer is currently residing alone in London and admits having big problems with household chores!

"It is new and difficult. I don't know how to do most things on my own so I'm learning. Cooking, finding my way around London and even using a washing machine! Mum was doing my washing at home!" the Chelsea player complains.

However, the salary allows Palmer to hire the necessary staff and not worry about such matters anymore!

How much money does Palmer make?

At Chelsea, Cole receives £75 thousand a week and under the new contract that the club is preparing to offer him at the end of the season, his salary will increase to £150 thousand, which is probably not enough, especially considering his enormous contribution to the team's overall performance!

Moreover, Palmer boasts lucrative business partnerships and an Instagram account with two million followers! He works with sportswear giant Nike, menswear brand Boohooman, and British car dealer Premier Vehicle VIP, which provides Cole with the best available cars. Let's talk about them next!

What supercars does Palmer have?

The Chelsea leader's garage has: Lamborghini Urus worth £190,000, BMW i4 worth £71,000, Mercedes A-Class worth £30,000, and Volkswagen Polo that costs £20,000. Fans have also spotted Palmer driving a Porsche at some point.

Having such vehicles is any man's dream!
