Quieting My Truck’s Cab with @SecondSkinIndustries

I absolutely LOVE driving this truck daily, but the interior was CRAZY noisy with exhaust reverberations, wind noise, squeaks, rattles, and such. In this video, I’ll show you how I made my own headliner and used @SecondSkinIndustries sound deadening materials to make my pickup’s not only fun, but now truly a pleasure to drive.

If you’re new to the channel, this is Curtis Low the 1979 Ford F-150 that my sons and I body dropped and swapped into a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor P71. It’s been channeled 9” and the chassis/powertrain remains entirely stock cop car under the farm-truck exterior. The entire build playlist is here on the channel so go check it out!

Also, I’ve previously installed the SecondSkin Damplifier Pro on the truck’s floor pans after discovering I had inadvertently made a massive mistake. I had put toxic tar-based roofing material on my floors hoping to save $. Well, after learning from my stupidity, I ripped it all out and installed the good stuff. The Made in USA, family owned, veteran run, highest-safety-rated stuff. Second Skin is an amazing company and I’m honored to work with them. In one part of today’s video I’ll show you how I re-covered the old headliner in the truck using spray glue and a few yards of department store fabric. I’m definitely into inexpensive, easy, and effective solutions to my problems; so if I can do this, you definitely can too.
