Leveling a Modular or Mobile Home

For more stories and ideas of homestead life check out https://www.norwilds.com Thanks!

In this video we show the basic approach to leveling a modular or mobile home.
My friend sold his home and the inspector said he wanted to see the back end of the house levelled and one support tightened up as the house was not resting on it anymore.

This house is right next to a very busy train track on river sand. It actually moves the house side to side over time and vibrates the blocking so much it settles them into the ground.

Typically I would realign the blocks and make everything under the home 100% but the home owner only wanted to do a small adjustment that was required and tighten up all the contact points.

So we will show you how it is done and the simple tools that are needed to do it. One thing though, with drywalled homes be careful to not flex it too much. Lower it or raise it too much or too fast and you may need to repair cracks that form. It may help to use multiple jacks and lift evenly across a large area.

Enjoy!
