পদ্মায় পানি বেড়ে ভয়াবহ নদী ভাঙ্গন দেখা দিয়েছে ব্যাপক ভাবে। শরীয়তপুরের নড়িয়া উপজেলার মুলফৎগঞ্জ বাজার মানচিত্র থেকে হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে। ইতিমধ্যে সাধুর বাজার বিলীন হয়েছে। পদ্মার তীব্র ভয়াবহ ভাঙ্গনে নদী গর্ভে চলেগেছে হাট-বাজার,স্কুল,মসজিদ,মন্দির,কবরস্থান,ক্লিনিক,সরকারী হাসপাতাল।মানুষ হয়ে পরছে অসহায় নিস্ব।পাঁচ তলা বিল্ডিং, চার তলা বিল্ডিং,তিন তলা বিল্ডিং, দুই তলা বিল্ডিং,এক তলা বিল্ডিং, টিনসেট ঘরবাড়ি,দোকান চোখের পলকে নদী গর্ভে চলে যাচ্ছে।সাধুর বাজার প্রায় পঞ্চাশজন লোকসহ নদী গর্ভে বিলীন হয়েগেছে।অনেক লোক নিখোঁজ রয়েছে। মানুষের এই ভয়াবহ দৃশ্য দেখা ছাড়া করার কিছুই নেই।আর চোখের পানি ফেলা ছাড়া।
গত কয়েক দিন ধরে পানি বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে পদ্মা নদীর তার সাথে ব্যাপক নদী ভাঙ্গন দেখা দিয়েছে। ভাঙ্গন আক্রান্ত হচ্ছে নতুন নতুন এলাকার শতাধিক ঘর বাড়ি । ভাঙ্গন আক্রান্তরা ঘরবাড়ি নিয়ে অন্যত্র কোনমতে চলে যাচ্ছে। ভাঙ্গনের মুখে রয়েছে ফোনের টাওয়ারসহ শত শত ঘরবাড়ি, ব্রীজ , কালভার্ট, স্কুলসহ গুরুত্বপূর্ন স্থাপনা।
পদ্মা নদীর পানি বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে ব্যাপক নদী ভাঙ্গন দেখা দিয়েছে। ভাঙ্গন আক্রান্ত হয়েছে হাজার পরিবার। ভাঙ্গন আক্রান্তরা পরিবার পরিজন গবাদি পশু নিয়ে কোনরকমে অন্যত্র নিরাপদ আশ্রয় স্থলে চলে যাচ্ছেন। ভাঙ্গনের তীব্রতা এতই যে আক্রান্তরা গাছ গাছালি এমনকি ঘরবাড়ি রেখে চলে যেতে বাধ্য হচ্ছে। হুমকিতে রয়েছে ফোন টাওয়ার,বিদ্যুৎ ব্যবস্থা, ব্রীজসহ হাজার হাজার ঘরবাড়ি। গত ৩/৪ সপ্তাহে বিদ্যালয় ভবন,প্রায় হাজার খানিক ঘরবাড়িসহ বড় বড় ভবন, স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্স,কমিউনিটি ক্লিনিক,কমিউনিটি সেন্টার ,মসজিদ,মাদ্রারা,মার্কেট,বেসরকারী ক্লিনিক,বাজার, দোকান ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ হয়েছে। সরকারী প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় নদীতে বিলীন হয়েছে। এতে শিক্ষা কার্যক্রম মারাত্মকভাবে ব্যাহত হচ্ছে। নড়িয়া উপজেলার একমাত্র সরকারী স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্স নদী ভাঙ্গনের জন্য চিকিৎসা সেবা বন্ধ হয়েগেছে।
