We’re Raising the Smartest Generation (and Breaking Them?) | Ananya Nair | TEDxSVKM Intl School
We are raising the most educated, hyper-connected generation in human history, yet anxiety, burnout, and a loss of meaning are rising at unprecedented rates. Why?
In this TEDx talk, Ananya Nair explores a troubling paradox in modern education: while we optimize students for competition and constant achievement, we often neglect connection and purpose. Through personal experience, classrooms across social divides, and ancient ideas of interdependence, this talk challenges how we define success and what learning is really meant to prepare us for.
This talk is for students feeling overwhelmed, parents who are worried, educators who care, and anyone who believes education should prepare us for life. Mumbai President of Vishalakshi Foundation, leading education and hunger-relief initiatives that have impacted over a million lives.
Founder of The Woke Tea, a platform fostering progressive social dialogue and youth-driven change.
Has engaged with global institutions like Stanford and UPenn, working at the intersection of science, youth leadership, and systems thinking. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
