RAM-Z or RAM-B Rigged Alternate Method Zodiac,

A RAM-Z is a basically a Deflated Zodiac or Rubber Raft rigged with motor and other items needed with a parachute. PJs push the boat out and following behind landing next to the boat, derigging it to get it up and operational so they can move on with the mission. Why would they need to do this?
