Minolta 45mm f2 - Sharp?

The Minolta MD Rokkor 45mm f2 is a sharp and fast prime lens circa 1979, but can it be used today? Yes. Yes it can. In this video I take it through the paces on a Sony 6500 (cropped) with a K&F Concept dumb adapter and a Minolta SRT 100X with Tudorcolor 200 film (expired).

I have de-clicked the aperture, making it easier to change the exposure on the fly for video, as well as to make minor exposure changes, but be warned! While it was easy to do - unlike my Tamron 28mm f2 (RIP) - the aperture will not stay at f2 and closes up to 2.8, unless you hold it in place.
Another problem with the aperture is when shooting video on a bright day f16 might not be enough and will result in over exposed video if you want to keep your shutter at 1/50 or 1/60. You then either have to raise your shutter speed, double your frame rate and shoot in slow mo and then raise your shutter or use a ND filter.

Overall I'm pleased with the lens. Thanks mom!
