Chris Rea | Rare Interview | The Lost Tapes

Born in Middlesbrough, UK in 1951, Chris Rea has been a constant fixture in the rock and blues scene since the release of his debut solo album "Whatever Happened to Benny Santini?" in 1978. With his distinctive deep, gravelly voice and slide guitar playing style Chris Rea has gained international fame and sold over 30 million records worldwide. Consistently named as one of the most popular rock musicians of the 1980's, Chris Rea's legacy as a hugely influential singer and guitarist still resonates to this day. In this rare interview, Chris talks about growing up in Middlesbrough, how he got is start in multiple bands before going solo, his influences and the trials and tribulations of being one of the UK's biggest rock icons.
