Ever since I watched The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. on Netflix, I’ve been wanting to try and make coffee jelly, so I thought I would attempt to make it in my parents’ kitchen. I didn’t think the video would be very interesting if I just used my parents’ Keurig, so (with Raleigh’s supervision) I made a pour-over for the coffee portion of this recipe. A lot of coffee jelly recipes online call for unflavored gelatin, but I wanted this recipe to be more vegetarian and vegan-friendly, so I used agar agar powder instead (which you can usually find at any Asian grocery store). I did use regular condensed milk for one of the “jellies”, but you can use vegan condensed milk if you can find it ( though I wasn’t able to at any grocery store near me).
