The Fig Tree Blooms is inspired by Matthew 24:32–33.

Jesus told us to learn the lesson from the fig tree: when its branches become tender and its leaves begin to appear, we know summer is near. In the same way, when we see the signs He spoke of, we are reminded to stay awake, lift our eyes, and know that He is near, even at the door.

This song is not about fear.

It is about watching with hope.

It is about remembering that Heaven is not confused, even when the world is shaking.
