In SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom, grinding for shiny objects used to take a very long time to complete. Then, the discovery of skee-ball abuse changed the BFBB speedrunning scene forever. In this video, I explain the history of shiny object grinding and SBA, and how it affected the speedrun.
